Did a quick search and couldn't find anything but I am pulling a enclosed trailer with auxilary lights and they have no power. Looked at the 7-pin on the truck and the pin in the 1 o'clock position has no power. Where does this power come from??? In the fuse box under the hood there is a 30 amp in the post #2 but the red plug is in #1 post still. I read some where a fuse needs to be put in there and it is taped to the harness only no one mentions where on the harness it is. Any suggestions would be great. I'm sure it has to be simple...right?

To get aux 12 DC power, you need to put a large fuse in by post #1. On my 2002 truck, if you look closely at the 7 pin connector on truck near the hitch, there is a diagram on the cover indicating which pin has power.

The harness that you mention should have came with your truck and in the glove box. The fuse was attached to that. This harness is only needed if you are going to use a brake controller.

I assumed it need one in the #1 but wasn't sure. The harness was factory on the truck but nothing was in the glove box except the 4-pin adapter which I had them throw in when I bought it because the 03's no longer came with it. I guess the harness you are talking about is optional now. Hell I bought a HD with the towing package and the damn trailer hitch is $180 extra!!! I got a fuse i will pop in tonight and see if that is it. thanks!
