I have listened to MB Quart and just never found them to sound as good as Focal but have never heard them play anything serious. Just shop tunes in some local stereo shop. But to me just not as crisp as I would like....

I used Rainbow exclusively with ARC Amps for years. ARC used to sell Rainbow. I don’t think they do anymore. Anyway, its all a matter of taste but you cant go wrong...well worth the money.

Go to http://www.elitecaraudio.com/ (http://www.elitecaraudio.com/) and look for user Dingaling. He sells them privately for way cheaper than you can get them elsewhere. I've bought 3 sets from him with no problem. There are also plenty of reviews there.
Have you considered Dynaudio? I recently switched to them and am very pleased.

I have polk audio setup in my truck. I too am kinda picky about sound quality and when I upgraded my truck, the polk was the best I heard. I don't have experience with focal or rainbow, just thought you might want to check out the Polk.

I had Dynaudio in another truck and I was not too happy with them... Still up in the air, but will for sure pick one of those... I am reading reviews now...

I'd buy a pair of ADS speakers over Focals personally but that's just my taste. Although the ADS's i listened to about 4 years ago I don't think they still make. They had some MASSIVE crossovers.

Focal makes a great speaker. I had MB Quarts loved them but now I like my Bostons even more.

JL's XR and ZRs are real nice, I currently run the JL XR653 cs 3ways. Morel makes sweet high end speakers too. I like Boston's high line too. I never liked MBQuart though, just not my taste....

I have Focal but not installed in the truck, I got familiar with them with the purchase of a pair of Chateau Reference very high end speakers for my home. I have drivers sitting ready to go in and will try the installation although I am concerned about what do wo with the wierd back speakers... I wonder if I can get some 5.25x5.25 speakers in there...?

Drew, why not just have a front stage and a sub. That's all you really need, unless your back seat passengers complain about not being able to hear the music. Then just turn it up! ;)

Hmmmm... I may do that... I also understand you may be able to modify the mounts and get a larger one in there or a 4x4 or something?

Focal, Rainbow, Boston Acoustics, Dynaudio...all great speakers. Depends on personal preference and budget.
I would never buy a speaker without hearing them though. Its like drinking good Whisky - what is good Whisky; heavily peated or soft without the peat?
Speakers are the same, in the same quality and price range they still differ A LOT - crystal clear or sweeeet whats better?

Are you talking about making your speakers fix? All you need is to make some door pods not to hard or costly.

I have owned pretty much all of the above mentioned except Rainbow. They all sound good but very different. I just installed the Boston PRO 60 in my truck and they sounded better to me than the Focal Yellow Tops, Diamon Audio Hex and the A/D/S. The bostons are very clean and crisp but still sound powerful with a good mid hit. The Diamonds were very loud, but very flat sounding, very similar to the A/D/S. The Focals sounded very very good at lower to mid range volumes, but just lost some of there punch at high volume.

That's what I have had for almost two years now...
