I was going to relocate the manifold mounted PMD and heat sink to the front bumper today, but I noticed that the factory PMD wiring harness was used when the PMD was originally located and the ground wire is now on the heat sink instead of on the IP. From reading this forum I know that the ground wire needs to be put back on the IP. My question is, does the intake manifold need to be removed to do this? If it does, do I need to replace anything other than the intake manifold gasket? This is an F code engine. Thanks!

Logically is yes, you are correct. Somebody who has done it can chime in.

I put my ground back on the pump when I relocated the PMD and did not remove the intake.

I used a magnet to start the bolt for the ground and did not need to remove the intake. You may need to open up the harness to expose more wire for the ground. Mine was tight and i did not like it so I trimed the loom back.
