Going to be puttin cab lights on my truck and I have the lights but not the harness. Now I have onstar but do I have to buy the harness for onstar or can I get the cheaper one. There is a big price range in the two. Just any advice and pics would help.

Helping Bturner with this project, one set is going on my truck and one set on his. I priced the non-On Star harness from GM dealer today for $35, found it on gmpartsdirect for $18. Not sure about you guys but I would just as sson have the OEM harness for them on my truck for a cheap price like that. Now, the dealer asked if I had UE1 code for the ON Star/XM in my truck which I do but they are already wired for it. Wondering if I get the GM harness for the lights if it will plug right in the lower port of the terminal block and work fine. They did offer a different PN for the harness used on trucks with UE1 and ON Star. Can anyone make any sense of this for us? We did pull down the upper console to peak inside and see if the harness for the On Star/XM antenna was wired with the connections to the lights and it was not.
