Does anyone know if these tires are made in the US?
The guy said that they were made by Bridgestone? Or maybe it was BF goodrich...........either way..........?

I think Dayton's are made by Cooper. I noticed that their AT tread pattern is the same as the Discoverer AT
Manny...you gettin a bit touchy? He DID make a good point about your tires....

mannytranny,
Did you use Tirerack.com's website? If not they have lots of intel on tire brands, customer surveys, etc. Dayton tires have a loyal following. Each manufacturer makes certain brands of tires that are better than their other brands. Check it out.
I'm glad to see you shopping for tires. Hopefully the DP boyz will cut you some slack and let you :grd: . If you would like some help I can help you research tires, just PM me. Quad A's love da research! ;) Later. JJ :)

Thank you gentlemen!
They are load Range E. 265-75-16.
Thanks partsguy for the link, I like the sounds of the company. Also glad to see they are made right here in the USA.
I got a look at them, and they looked just about like what I want. A little beefy, but not much more than the stockers.
The reason that I was snippy with Idahofox was because this is about the 3rd time that he horns in on something I post with something snotty (never helpful) to say. E nuf. He apparently hates me from the days of my political discussions, but (like a few other members) he never came out and stated his point of view like everyone else.

FYI, Dayton tires are part of the Firestone/Bridgestone company.

With a 10 ply, on 3/4 trucks (2 and 4 wheel) we got around 30K out of them. The tires pick up and throw rocks badly. Other than that for the price they are a good tire.

I had Dayton Timberline AT's in 265-75/R16 D on my Supercrew Furd before I sold it. Put them on at around 90k miles, just sold it with 116k, and they still had about 75% tread left. Of course, I don't drive all that aggressively, and the wear is going to differ for a DMAX truck sporting a lot more power vs. the 5.4L. But at the rate I was going I'd have gotten 50k out of them easy. Ride quality was what you'd expect from a mid-priced AT tire in a heavy load range, but I had the torsion bars turned up a little and some pretty stiff shocks on it, too. Audible hum from them on certain pavement surfaces, but not bad with the windows closed. I found that in light dirt/mud the traction was decent, on wet pavement they did real well, but snow traction wasn't the greatest (probably because the individual tread blocks don't have much in the way of smaller voids in them). I think you could do better than $500 for the set, though. I remember paying closer to $400 installed, and might have been less. Agree with coalbucket1 that, on the whole, they're a good tire for the price.

have 285 Timberline AT's on 02 Crew w/ alloys. Have over 30k now and probably good for at least 10 more. Wife driven mostly on short trips less than 10 miles at a time. She is @#ll on the truck so I'm feel good about the mileage so far.

I have Dayton 285's -- would get them again in a heartbeat.
My Bridgestones (the owners of Dayton) are not made in the USA...I know Cooper's are made in USA.
