Hello everybody my truck is being alittle funny, after I drive for awhile and the motor is hot the truck stalls when I come to a stop or going from park to reverse or drive. In park it sounds like it is idling fine but right when you put it in gear it bogs down and stalls. If I keep my foot on the go pedal and put it in gear it stays running but when I come to a stop it wants to die also.penny for your thoughts

Metering valve is sticking, classic DB2 problem.
Try fuel lubricity additive, but you probably need the pump rebuilt, and and check for water contamination in the fuel, that does it everytime, rusts the metering valve.

Lock up torque converter not unlocking?
This is what I would suspect

If it were a torque converter problem, it would only happen when slowing from speeds high enough for the converter to lock-up. Which doesn't happen in city driving or reverse.
Its a pump problem.

He states it stalls when coming to a stop or when shifting from park to either reverse or drive. This tells me it could be a convertor clutch problem. If it's a TCC problem, it would also affect acceleration from a stop (sluggishness, dead feeling like a stick shift starting out in a higher than normal gear). This sluggishness goes away gradually as speed increases but is very noticeable at startup.
I have never had a TCC no-release problem that I was able to get the vehicle to stay running when putting it in gear from a stop, even if I had my foot on the throttle. It would still die unless I was rolling downhill when I took it out of neutral and put it in drive.
It's probably a pump, like TDG says
