Does anybody know what the torque specs are for the band clamp at the front of the pipe and the nuts on the flange?

Diesel_Day_Dreamin 06-21-2005, 10:43 AM Not that I know the answer to your question... but the front pipe band clamp is a lock nut pushing against a spring. So before I removed it, I measured the compression of the spring with a set of calipers (tape measure will work also). After a few drives, I rechecked it. I put an aftermarket exhaust on and just guesstimated the tightness of the 4 flange bolts. Hope this helps. Cougar281 06-21-2005, 03:41 PM anyone have the Factory Service Manuals to get this info?? It would be nice to get something similar for GM, even if it just covered my truck... | ||
