Driving today to FEDEX and noticed that my SES light had blinked on and off. Pull these codes

13 - Engine Shutoff Solenoid Circuit Fault
34 - Injector Timing Stepper (ITS) Motor Circuit Fault

The truck runs fine and did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Is this the first indicator that the IP is going south? I changed the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid about 50k ago, because it was leaking. Any input would be helpful.

Clear them and check to see what comes back.

Code 34 means your pump needs to be retimed most likely.

If the stepper motor has actually quit on you, you will be able to pick it up with a scanner really easily, ACT timing will stay the same all the time no matter what DES timing reads.

I just cleared them but will wait till tomorrow morning till I run her. I have gotten DTC 34 before going into the fall season, but here it is summer. I did ride the Burb pretty hard this morning.

Then likely what happened is your DES timing went really high and ACT timing couldnt follow so the pump needs to be advanced a touch.

You just might notice some power restored on the top end too, depending how far out it is now.
