Is it possible that faulty injector(s) could cause premature glow plug failure? My truck started white smoking occasionally and I have had about six glow plug failures since it started....related?

I don't see how.

I can't see any reason why a "bad injector/s" would be detremental to the glow plugs. There must be another reason for the failures... may have somthing to do with the relay sticking in the glow plug controller.

Very good, thanks for the answers. I'm really a 'gas' guy with a diesel truck....wasn't sure if they could be related somehow. Is there something in the Tech II codes that describes injector issues or is just the balance rates? Thanks for all the info!
