I'm new to mods on diesels and i don't want anything too wild I bought a 4" turbo back for my 07.5 lmm and i'm trying to decide on a programer. I've been thinking about going with the edge evolution. I like the edge because of the display and from what I've read it's a good programer but will it work for the dpf delete? I'm not looking for alot of power because the tranny is stock and It'll be a while before i do any upgrades on it. I really just want somthing that will give me a little more power and fuel economy.

If your going to use the turbo back system you will need the edge race to delete the dpf regular edge does not delete it .:)

:) I like my edge race , havent had any problems yet never tried ppe or efi live so I couldn't honestly tell you if its the best tuner out there . had a banks 6 gun on my ford 7.3 and it was ok .

The standard Edge Evolution Race is fine, the newer Edge CTS Race has a touch screen, and can display more PID's. Both will/can delete the DPF.

I also run the Edge Evo Race Level 3. 4" MBRP DOC back exhaust. DPF fell off lol. They are all kinds of programmers out and not all are great but good. In my opinion Evo Race is the best bang for the buck.

Edge gets my vote. I have ran all of the available DPF delete tuners and find the Edge to be the best. It has the most features and usable power levels.

I was unsure as well after reading about the Quad's defueled shifts, seeing all the internet updates needed, no gauges, and is said to quit downloading if any other electrical system is running I posted the same question on here and was Steered tword edge evo race. My opinion if your gonna modify our beautiful expensive trucks mine as well do it the safest and smartest way possible unless your rolling in money. Edge comes with a monitor and EGT sensor which is highly recommended.

An Edge Evo or Race unit is tough to beat for the dollar spent. They have great power, shifting and a ton of features. My personal favorite is the CTS Race because it has the large touch screen monitor and can be ran with or without the DPF.

Yes, correct. Also, the Evo comes with a pyro probe where you have to buy it separately with the CS or CTS. The CTS has backup camera capability as well.

I have tested them all, and PPE has by far the best tuning...

efi is king, ppe is second best. of course both of those tuner choices do not come with gauges etc.

if you just want solid tuning with a gauge package then the edge is a good unit. you wont be the fastest out there but it will definately wake your truck up and i guarantee you will enjoy driving it alot more.

Reports of 2-4 are very common.

PPE and never look back
