:(
Went back to the track and ....
Added duel exaust and an SD lift pump, but the bursting is still there. I am able to move Edge up to level 3 (instead of 2) when stacking with Quad 215.

So, I am thinking that my stock fuel system is maxed out and the higher Edge settings are giving me too much timing for the fuel that my Lift pump can force through the stock fuel pump. ANY IDEAS ?

:help:

For the record, I beat my previous best time by 0.7 running an 8.28 in the 1/8th at 82.5 mph. 60fts 1.8s and mph were the same as before (even after clamping my springs along with running the Caltrac bars). Also ,the air must have been a liitle bad as other racers were running a little slower that night.

Your previous exhaust post said your ET changed by 0.07 seconds, not 0.7 seconds?? Which was it?? 0.7 would be GREAT!!!

I doubt the lift pumps are having issues with keeping up.

Get acess to a tech 2 and see what your rail pressureis dropping too. See what the difference between comand vrs actual is.

Get a fuel pressure gauge and see what your putting out PSI wise right before it goes into the motor at a WOT run. If you are seeing positive numbers it dosnt matter what pump set up or line size ect you run to the motor IMO

You also not really forcing fuel past the lift pump. The goal is to make sure the factory fuel pump has a slight positive pressure to it.

If you have a Quad 215 tune and it is version 1.19 or earlier you can stack the Edge up to level 2, I know I could...........over that my truck burst as well.

If the Quad is version 1.20 or later than unless you have a new 10 tune box you are wasting your time.

The stack runs well, and depending on your low boost fueling and the truck you may not have success at anything over Level 2.

The guys that say they are stacking a Quad and Edge on Level 5 are most likely running a really old version........like 1.05.

Good Luck,

Oh BTW... try the Quad 135 tune stacked with the Edge on LEVEL 5. with the low boost fueling all the way up and the defuel off on all shifts.....

OOps, 0.07 is all I picked up :o:

Considering 60fts being equal in the senario, I had a best 330 ET of 5.28 once when I let off before the finish line (bracket racing in a local diesel meet). That may have given me another 0.03 making a full tenth.

I need some Tech 2 readings.

With the 10tune version of the quad I can get to Juice-4 on any Quad setting. But on juice-5 it bursts no matter what. Even on the 135 tune. I haven't tried all the tunes yet, but it just seems like there is too much timing or something. Anywho thats the way mine works. I will say that the trans shifts 100% better with the quad than with the juice alone. :)

Same here, 10 tune Quad on 215, juice-4, and smoke on 5. Even with the Carter LP, that is the max I can go.

Sounds like my situation is normal.

I still need to verify data with a Tech 2 though. hm...
I had envisions of helping more with the latest add ons.

Back to the "drawing board".
Better 60fts and N20 is what I need.

Thanks for the replys,
