Does anyone here have any experience with Edge's EZ module on an LLY Duramax? I tow a 9000 lb travel trailer and would just like to have a little boost in power without spending a lot of money. I did a search but didn't turn up anything.
Thanks guys.

it will do just fine on the LLY.. keep in mind that the EZ is just that.. easy. Its the base model that just plugs in under the hood and you can't purchase an Attitude controller for it.
if you are ok with that then it will work great for towing. You might consider getting an EGT guage as well, cheap insurance.

my buddy has one on his LLY and loves it. I also run one on my LB7....no problems as of yet for either of us. I pull a 24ft race car trailer ( 8600lbs loaded ) and in level two the truck doesn't even know its back there.
as briano said I would really consider some guages to monitor things.

Where do most folks install the three position switch---I assume its a three position switch 'cuz it has three power settings...? Is is round or rectangular---the mounting body that is?
I just put one in a couple of days ago. I have my brake controller under the dash, directly under the steering wheel. I put the mount for the EZ switch just to the right of the controller. Drilled one hole in the exposed metal just under the dash. To keep the mount from twisting on one bolt I put a large rubber washer between the dash and mount. (too lazy to drill two holes and I don't want more holes than needed)
The switch body is rectangular. I can't rememer for sure, but I think i drilled atleast a 1/2inch hole in the fire wall to string the connector through. I put a grommet in and ran wire conduit through it to protect the wires. The hole through the fire wall was easy. On my truck there was a circle cut out of the insulation. This was looking from the front (motor side) of the fire wall. I just drilled a pilot hole in the center area of it and step drilled it from there.

For those using the EZ, have you noticed an increase in MPG (towing or not towing)? What level do you use towing 7-9k lbs?
Any other switch location ideas?

I installed my Edge EZ last month and I found a hole dead center on the steering column at the bottom of the dash. The switch fit the hole perfectly. I ran the wire over to the dash end fuse location and out from under the cover of the fuse box and under the upper door hinge thru the left front fender opening and comes out right next to the under hood fuse box where I stuck the Edge box on with the supplied velcro, works like a champ. Only minor thing is when you open the door you can see the wire going from the end dash fuse box lid to the opening in the front fender, like I give a s**t ,unless your looking for it you'll never notice it.Must of takin' 5 min.'s max. Haven't towed with it yet and can't check the mileage cause I have always got my foot in it playin and lookin for Hemi's to ambush!!
Enjoy the extra power cause it makes it an even more fun truck to drive.):h ):h

glilja,
It has been a very popular new item since it came out. It gets you a nice HP boost, at a very modest price and for a lot of folks that is all they want. Most of our custoemrs don't even mount then switch, the leave it under the hood with the module so that removeal is easier, once they play with it a bit they know what HP level that want and just leave it there anyway. Call us if you have any questions etc.

Just my .02
I've got the edge/attitude. It's the best $800 I've spent on the truck. With the included display you don't need additional guages and with all the programabiliity it has you can truly custom taylor it to suit your needs.
I'm seeing about a 2 mpg gain on level 1 I also have a billet plate to install the attitude in the overhead console. It looks awesome!!
