Hi everyone...Finally decided Im going to get an Edge Juice/Attitude. Couple questions. I am only going to run Levels 1 and maybe 2 until I get my tranny done (ill probably go with a Suncoast Lvl III cause im not really going to drag, I just want a fast truck to tow a horse trailer and have fun with ricers):h ) , no exceptions!! Even tho I know the urge will be there...I want to save my tranny. With these levels, is it imperitive to have an aftermarket exhaust/cat delete?? I am definetly going to get an exhaust sometime in the next couple weeks or so...but I am going to get the Edge now. Last question...Are you guys installing the EGT thermocouple probe yourselves? Im confident with tools and a drill and tap, but wondering if I its a good idea to leave it to someone else. I really dont want to have to take the manifold off, seeing as engines are so packed in these days that taking one part off means taking 50 other parts off. Would I be safe drilling slowly with a vacuum right there to collect all the shavings so none go into the manifold???

Thanks for the help!!

Only using Level 1 and 2 you do not need any type of tranny upgrade. If you plan on using Levels 4 and 5 all the time then YES..very much so.

you don't have to have exhaust upgrades..but it sure does help with EGT's.

EGT probe is fairly easy to install, check the Do It Yourself section. You don't have to remove the manifold, just the inner wheel lining. 30 minutes tops.

Here is the link to the pyro installation.

It is known as the "hoot method".

removing the manifold is very easy, remove the inner fenderwell then its right there, nothin else needs to come off.

the peace of mind you get knowing the chips are all out is worth the extra 1/2 hour
