So I have read TONS of threads about the limp mode and the moisture affecting the NSBU. I have an 02 8.1L w/ Ally 5 spd. I think its the moisture from the two straight months of snow. BUT, i got stuck yesterday and I was slamming it in forwards and reverse ALOT trying to get out. Could I have messed something up by doing that. It was not indicating the right gear on the dash, and now its in constant limp mode. No tuner will take the code away. I guess its time to just get a new NSBU...

Having any auto slamming it between D and R will tear it up. You really can't rock an auto.
The best you can really do is pull forward hit the brakes if it stays there go to R then same idea. Going back and forth while still moving will just tear them up.

This is a long shot, but thinking of while im messing wit this stuff. Is there anyway to get the 5 spd to do the manual shift thing like the 6spd's. I HATE not being able to keep it in 4th when im towing and stuff.D is 4 and 5, then you can put it in 3rd...too low
