I'm gonna mod my truck tomorrow. I got a sold state relay that I'm going to install. IT's a little over kill, but what the hell. Anyway...I know how to wire it up. Cut the gray. Gray from the ops powers the relay and the gray going to the LP now receives a new 12 volt source. The question I have is. I'm planning to use an aux post from my fuse box, but that post gets power from the battery. 14+plus vdc when it's on. Is my lift pump supposed to get a 12vdc regulated voltage or can I go with voltage that is basically coming from the battery?

There is a thread that the FAQ sticky links to. Go check it out, it should answer all your questions...
Thank you for the advice. I've read all over the FAQ and did various searches, but they all say " tap the 12" for power to the LP. A lot of people tap the power line coming into the OPS and do it that way. I'm looking for clarification on whether I can tap it from another source because I would rather like to get away from the Ops. I also don't want to damage the LP with putting what might be too much voltage to it.

>too much voltage to it. Truck voltage is fine.
Might want to put in an auxiliary switch to prime it when you change filters
thank you DP. A momentary switch will take care of that. :)
