I went to my first tractor pull last night and after a pull off with a twin turbo dodge I ended up second. He had mickey thompson claw's tires and I had my 17" bfg a/t tires. Next time I WILL have more tire!!! I full pulled the sled 1st go round then they changed the gearing in the sled for the pull off as me and the dodge were the only one's to full pull 1st round. I think I ended up going 186ft. but do not know alot of specifics on how the sled was configured for weight with the rippers it had. I had fun but hate gettin beat my a Censored dodge! I had my springs clamped, t bars down, centerlink strapped, and the other basic things but just need some tires mainly. I also would not mind a locker in the front and some better shocks. This dmax modding has go to stop!!! Just thought I would chat a little about my first hook and see what you guy's think or might suggest???

I think I am also going to go with the tsl boggers. The track I mainly will be pulling at is really loose on top and a little moist and soft under the surface. I think I will use them on my stocker wheels I have laying around and maybe put some screws in them to keep them in place. I can't decide to get the 33" or the 35", which do you all think would be better for all out pulling? I don't care about noise or ride as I will only use them at the pulls. Also wonder how low of air you can run in them? :ro)

I wouldn't screw the tires. Just put a mark on the tire at the valve stem and watch for slippage. If it does slip then you can screw them. A lot of the Super Stock pulling trucks don't even screw the tires, they can slip a little and still be ok. 35" tires for sure. But if you do a lot of pulling (or plan on it) check to make sure you can run 35's. Some pulls only allow 33" tire max. Also check on the hitch height rule and get it upto that point as close as you can.
