TDR... you don't have to pay to read. It's worth $35... even Mackin thinks so. :anitoof:

With all the internet out there and information available, there is no reason to pay to be on a site. Information is out there and can be found very easily. I (in my own opinion) see no reason to pay for something that people are willing to give you for free. There are lots of sites with information out there, the "search" engines will help you greatly... Good luck

Yes it's true, you can get stuff for nothing.

For $35 TDR sends out a quarterly magazine that's about 1/2" thick, loaded with great articles and pictures. I think it's worth every penny. If it was just a forum I would not pay. I guess they have to pay the bills somehow and it's probably nicer knowing you have a certain amount coming in.

Now the other GM diesel page.... you pretty much only get the forum. And the forum is limited to paid users only. I like a place open to everybody. TDR lets non members read so they can decide if they want to join.

Nick does this all for free.

Here you go! It's free, everyone is great and very helpful, and if you want, they take donations.

yep, the DTR is a good site, i like the layout a little better there than the TDR, but i feel that the TDR is a better overall forum... [the pay part seems to keep a good part of the brand bashing down, but it still exists on the general diesel forum...]

i use to be a member of the 6.2/6.5 diesel pages when i had my tahoe, but when i was beginning to think about something else [at the time, a ford so i joined the ford-diesel/dieselstop forums] and i let the 6.2/6.5 expire and joined the tdr when i decided to buy a 3rd gen...

and i don't want to loose complete touch with the gm diesel products so that's why i am here [and technically, i work on gm diesels - the EMD type):h]
