Where did you buy the IP from? More details on what you did and what causes you to change the IP, etc. Who did the install, which instruction you get it from.

this is a guy i work withs thread, we both work at a chevy dealer ship, he followed the flow chart when it wouldnt start, led to a bad ip, replaced it with a gm unit, after replacing that it starts and runs but, then threw code to replace vacuume pump, after doing that had cylinder balance codes, replaced injectors for the concerning cyclinder, then thought it might have a faulty ip. replaced it with another one and still sets the cylinder balance codes.

Did you do compression test? time the IP? etc. Before doing anything else. At least, I hope you don't have to pay for time.

The Diagnostic will help you a little to understand how to test the fundamentals of the truck.

I'd check the connection to the OS

Check the CPS too. Disconnect your PCM from all connectors for 10 mns at least then reconnect.
Do the koko routine too.

Last time I met this problem was on a truck with a blown exhaust valve, but also on a truck with dead CPS.

Also should check for air in the lines. Put a piece of clear tubing on the return line coming out of the IP

found the problem.someone put a gasoline fuel sending unit with a fuel pump mounted internally in the tank.the pump was restricted causing air to be drawn in the fuel system.getting air in the cylinders with balance codes.replaced with a diesel sending unit problem solved.thanks for everyones help.
