I have successfully installed my RS-623 using a INT-SL bus controller in my 2004 Sierra 2500.

Although it wasn't a tough install, it was still 6 some-odd hours as there were so many little bits of info I needed to gather here and there. But it's working like a CHAMP, and has all the features in tact, including the 'wait to start' and turbo idle down, etc. Cool Stuff.

I would like to thank those on this forum that helped. It was indeed a fun project.

The programming will be specific to the 623 and will not work with other models. If you would have used a bypasskit module instead of fortin you could hace plugged it in D2D and only hooked up 1 data wire. Just so you know for next time :D

Thanks. MaxPower. It was all new to me when I purchased it. But for the next one - I'm ready! Do you have an example model of a bypasskit module that would have been easier than the INT-SL? As you know, the INT-SL was not data compatible, thus I wired up the additional wires.

XK01 but they sometimes have issues. There is nothing wrong with the way you did it and it should be very reliable. Honestly the way you did it seems to be less problematic.

Thanks MaxPower. If I send you my diagram, would you consider taking a look to see if I did it correctly, or possible suggest better ways? Was wondering if anyone can tell me how to enable horn honk confirmation for this remote starter? Thank you.

I did so by connecting the green horn output of the RS-623 to the Black/Yellow wire on the steering column. This is a negative trigger (ground the wire to make the horn blow).

Program Level 15 -
1111-01100 * Horn – Short Pulse (20ms), Horn on Second Command, Sentential Mode (auto start at 2.5 hour intervals) is at -4 degrees
