That's pretty cool. I'm a big vintage motorcycle guy and the idea of a diesel bike has always appealed to me for the oddity of it. I know that there's been a few diesel motorcycles produced from the factory over the years. Royal Enfield in India is (I think) still producing a diesel varient of its bikes that sells like crazy over there. I guess the ruggedness, economy, and the availability of fuel makes them a good choice in lousy places. The US military is using a Kawasaki KLR650 dirt bike (again, I think that's the model) that's been modified with a diesel engine for full-battlefield logistical purposes. The tactical dirt bike was the last tactical vehicle to use gasoline, which could present availability problems.

Thanks for that link. Man, that engine is pretty damn cool. Personally, I loathe modern "cruiser" style motorcycles (antiques are a different story, I have a '47 Harley U flathead) but I'd like to get ahold of one of those motors to put into something else. I'm going to look into that some more.

That is an sweet looking bike. I love the old school look but I really like the drive ability of newer bikes. Which is why I love my HD Crossbones so much.
