Hey.. I sell chevrolets at a dealership in utah, and yesterday i had someone come in that was looking to buy a new one and then go nuts with go-fast goodies.. So I was pretty stoked someone was there to speak my language until he asked how much boost a stock turbo can take.. I feel pretty knowledgeable about the duramax's and the aftermarket world, but I have never ran across this question, also is the max boost different from the LB7 to the LLY? Any help would be very appreciated..

When I installed my "X-Monitor" from BD-POWER ,with Boost pressure and Pyro temperature indications, I e-mailed them and asked the same questions max temp and boost pressure. Max continuous manifold EGT = 1050'F, Max safe boost pressure = 25 PSI. I'm don't know the actual max output of the Turbo on my LB7 but I do know that the LB7 turbo has a waste gate and the LLY has variable guide vanes & no waste gate. Your service department should have all these specs 'cause if they don't how the heck do they check a customers Dmax's performance when in for service??? Hope this helps you out.................SWH...

Not sure what max allowed is on LLY, but I consistently run 40-45 psi in 1/4 runs with it.

LB7 max is set at 31 on wastegate.

37 is in the red zone for sure, then again, you could always go higher and let the rest of us know how it works out for ya.

*L*

Don't exceed 37

33-35 post CAC is relatively safe.

I hit 43 psi last week with the BullyDog rapid power module, intake, and exhaust. was kind of suprised and was going to ask this very question. I won't be seeing that to much cause I don't think she will live long at that level.
