Looking thru Supersteer Product Catalog, I found two interesting items for our vehicles.

1 - Supersteer Trac Bar p/n SS675

"Axle side play is one of the leading causes of poor handling and stability in trucks, particularly while carrying a heavy load or while pulling a trailer. Lateral forces generated by cornering or side winds cause the leaf springs to deflect, creating a "tail wagging the dog" sensation. Henderson's SuperSteer Trac Bar clamps to the rear axle housing on the passenger side and bolts to the frame on the driver's side, positively locating the rear axle."

2 - Supersteer HD Tie Rod p/n SS28559

"If you've ever taken your 2001-2007 GM truck, SUV or Hummer H2 off road, then you know how easy it is to bend the stock tie rod assembly. SuperSteer has introduced a permanent solution to this problem with its new heavy-duty tie rod end, which offers numerous improvements to the stock part. First and foremost, it is a full one-inch forging. It also incorporates a 30 mm ball compared to the stock 25 mm, and offers 37 degrees of stud swing compared to only 28 for the factory part."

Road racers who still have leaf springs ALL run a rear track bar, but this on passenger car springs which are normally mono leafs or very small spring packs. I'm not sure how much deflection you'll get out of the big ole mass of springs we have.

Do you know where this trac bar is mounted height wise? Is it above the axle centerline? I ask because once you add a trac bar it dictates where your roll center is. A roll center is the imaginary point in which the suspension will roll. If you raise the roll center you can help eliminate sway, but if you lower the roll center you can make it worse. Sorry ........just the chassis engineer in me coming out.......probably over thinking this for a work truck.

Sorry for the quality. I'll try to rescan it later at a higher DPI.

If they're built anything like the idler arm assembly, it will be an impressive piece.
