I recently had a Viper 5701 Remote Start added to my truck. The installer installed a GMDLBP bypass. When the truck is operating on the remote start and you get in and turn key and touch brake to disengage remote start and allow the truck to take over operation the door will lock 3 seconds after key is turned. Is this normal operation or is the bypass possibly set up wrong. I know the alarm has the option to lock doors after starting and this option has been turned off and will not lock doors if you use key to start truck. If a different bypass would prevent this operation I would be interested because I would prefer the doors to lock on speed as originally set up on truck. I would like to know if anyone with this remote start or similar Viper system has this operation or if theirs operates differently. Any help would be appreciated.
