I've got an '02 CC dually, after racing sat. nite I scaled the truck at 8820#. I know it is prolly alot heavier than some others out there, but I was curious to see what the other dually owners were weighing in at.
Didn't get that great of times on the 1/8 with all that weight, But it was also my first time to ever go to the drag strip. That was a blast, now I really gotta get a tranny upgrade:cool:

Ummmm.....not worth talking about, pretty weak compared to what you did. I ran in lvl 6 first pass, don't know if the trans slipped but about half way through the track it seemed to shudder a little. So the other 5 passes were in lvl 5. I never did a 4wd boosted launch. I'm to much of a chicken sh!t, and didn't want to tear anything up.:cool:
It was my first time to go to the track so the adreniline levels were up and the reaction times sucked-:t -:t -:t best was a .84
Also the boosted lauches were a little weak too, I guess prolly a little nervous about taking off and not red lighting.:(

I know it sucks, and I don't wanna hear any banks bashing, I think I was a little conservative about the whole thing not knowing what was going to happen to the engine, trans, etc........so that is my excuse:D
I rolled a 100K on the way to the track so I had that on my mind too......:cool:
No more warranty for me.....:(
I did win one race though.........it was against a blown s-10...........but he tore it up taking off...):h

I scaled with me in the truck, I'm at 220. No worries my friend...:D
What makes your truck so heavy?
I can account for 4-5 things that are weighing me down, Frontend replacement, headache rack, 1 small toolbox full of tools, a steel toolbox/transfer tank with about 40-45 gallons of diesel in it, and a big honking 3/4" steel plate 2'x4' that was put in to beef up my GN hitch for hauling those heavy loads:rolleyes:
I imagine if I was going to get a tranny upgrade and start racing regularly, I would start shedding the toolboxes and the FER. But I don't see that happening....;)

My injectors were going bad.......
I was carrying extra fuel in the crankcase.......
