Well, sold my 04 d/a and bought a Toyota Tundra. The truck was just to big for my needs and it did not work for what I do for a living. Almost dropped a tear when I pulled into the dealership. I had the tow haul mode on just so I could hear it downshift one more time. Thanks to everyone here who provided advice to me while I was a d/a owner. This forum is great and is full of very helpful people. Thanks and so long for now.

Tundra is a good choice if you don't need a diesel. Enjoy! JJ :)

She likes to fish and is a great mother to my favorite person in the world, my two year old daughter. It's a good fathers day.

Hey,

I am sure the guys here won't get pissed if you give us a review of your Tundra. I sure won't. I am still a lurker here simply because my wallet won't allow me to own a DMAX at the moment, but love this site for all the advice and info and of course the members on here try and help out no matter the circumstaces.

So go ahead, and give us a review of your new toy!!

Take care,

Will

How ironic! After giving my dad a ride in my new D/A crew he is wanting to trade in his '02 Tundra for an ex-cab D/A. Mostly because of the great deals out there and GM card points.

The fit and finish are hard to beat in the toyota and they have plenty of power. The constant down shift / up shift pulling only a 3K lb boat is annoying though. Take it out of overdrive and it sounds like it is reving to high. IMHO still the best 1/2 ton out there if you don't need a big cab.

Why a Toyota? I wouldn't be able to do that.

I too am looking to buy a gasser to go along with the DMax. Trying to decide between the Avalanche or the Tundra. Can't afford diesel fuel prices that are running 20 to 30 cents more than regular gas.

The Tundra is an great truck, excellent power, great suspension, almost drives like a big sportscar. I bought a new one in 2002, put 60,000 miles on it in two years.

Taught my son how to drive in it, so of course he had to take his drivers test in it. After he got his license, I pointed him in the direction of the 93 Toyota P/U I had saved for him. The 93 thing didn't "take" and he ricochet'd back into the Tundra. He talked his mother into buying the Tundra from me so I sold the 93 and ..darn.. had to go buy myself a new Silverado!

The Tundra now has 90,000 miles (30,000 teenager miles which = 50,000 man miles) and has not had one thing go wrong on it!:cool2:
