when you're sucking air, but the fuel lines arn't running diesel to the ground, it's a good chance the leak is in the fuel pickup in the tank or the lift pump isn't pressurizing and drawing fuel in.
Jump the fuel pump relay on the firewall, orange wire to grey wire to manually power the LP.
ill give it a try is it any easy fix if that is the problem

Not too hard but the pick-up is intank and requires dropping it to replace, a good idea to verify the rest of the system is at full function first.
I've had the filter bowl itself leak in air without dripping much fuel when the ops wasn't powering the LP during operation.

Lift pumps themselves are also a possible source of air.
If the pump is functioning, then you should be able to bleed the air out of the filterbase and make the truck atleast start. But it will probably need a new supply pump and Oil Pressure switch and possibly tank sending unit too.
thanks for all the help i havent bought it yet but i plan on it when i get it and start looking into the problem im sure ill be posting with more question but thanks for the anwsers it gives me a place to start
