at first i wanted to get the edge and attitude combo for my 04 gmc but then as i started to do more and more research i figured i needed other uprades to get the full experience out of the edge like tranny which i cant afford at the moment bein only 18 lol so i started noticing that the hypertech was being used a lot also i was just wondering how good the hyptechs work and any info on programmers i can run with out havin to beef up my tranny?

The Hypertech is safe and probably one of the easiest programmers to use. Even on level 3, I had no slippage on my tranny. It sounds like this is the one you should get.

Just about all the programer you can run and not set em on the highest setting and be fine. Its mostly coming down to using your head.

As was stated before, the hypertech is probably the "safest" programmer out there since the highest setting doesn't seem to cause issues with the truck...
