Not sure which forum this goes under now with so many.

But heres a pic of my single pleat filter after 15k miles running from cali/az/utah/idaho/montana/oregon. I have a nictane/cat filter mounted before this filter.

It seems like its really doing a great job. No water/rust/dirt/tar.

I also use primrose 409/winter areas and 405 summer areas of the country.

How often do you change your Cat. filter?

I change the cat filter every 10k miles.

Still some life left in that filter. How do your cat filters look after 10k miles?

At 10k the cat filters are about 90% used up or black looking. I figure I would change them before they get all black. Its just cheap insurance if you ask me.

I guess I could take the OEM filter to about 25-30k before changing.

I finally got around to adding a CAT pre OEM under the hood @ about 54,000kms/33,500miles and am at 59,000kms/36,600miles now so haven't had a change yet. Will post pics when time comes.

When I change my CAT/Nicktane filter. Is all i do just twist the old one off, fill the new one with diesel fuel and then twist on. Any problems with spillage, bleeding?

I put a 1 gallon zip bag around them as i take them off. No mess no spills.
