Well i went to my first pull tonight . i did pretty good for the first time , but the truck started to bounce all over the place . i had to let out because of the bounce . it was pulling so good ! it has the power i believe to do alot better , but i must get this bouncing under control

i did not turn down the bars .

If its the rear, you can clamp the springs. For the front, lowering the bars will help. is the truck lifted?

i clamped the rear springs and lowered the tires to 25 psi front . the rears had 55 psi . i could not lower the front due to the size of my tires . . i think i wil put some 285/70/17 on for pulling so i can lower it .

the front was bouncing bad . and the rear some too.
my truck weighed in at 7400. and my hitch was 18" from the ground.

i was thinking of building a weight bar for the front and get my truck up to the 8,000 lb . along with lowering the front . think that will do it ?

i can lower my bars down all the way with my 325/60/18 x-terrains. you should be able to drop yours some anyway. you might have some rubbing in the turns but who cares. i just dont turn sharp, i might hafta pull up and back up 4 or 5 times but its worth it. did you strap you centerlink down? this is a must or install the super diesel centerlink.

clamping does help but without traction bars your rear end will still twist

untop of that the traction bars will plant your rear to the track, the longer the better.(up to a point) caltracs IMHO would not be ideal for pulling cause they lack leverage.

so you drop your bars with those tires? wow ! i know mine are a little bigger . maybe i will try it . but 285/70/17 would be good also just cost more .

i would love to see those tractions bars by gray max. and i would love to see a weight bar someone has made for the front . i have an idea but would like to see others

Another thing is get your hitch height up! Most of the time the rule is 26" and you're at 18". Getting that up in the air will help out a bunch. Depending on how you clamp your springs you may or may not benefit from the traction bars. Tire pressure sounds good, drop the t-bars for sure, clamp the springs, raise your hitch height and try it again. Before you go out and spend a lot of money try it again doing what everyone has said here.

the hitch rule was 20" so i am close . i plan to put on a centerlink(i need it anyways) drop the front down , build a weight bar myself. now if i could solve the bursting problem i have with both boxes turned up i would be good .

trying to find gray max, to pm him .

Do u have tierod sleeves?

Even w/ them the front tires toe in which will cause the jumping your talking about.

I'd put the whole SD steering set up in.
