hey all im new to the site and just got my duramax last week i got it from my friend it already had the edge juice on it and i have a tripple dog from my old cummins i was wondering if i can stack the 2 together

I don't think so.I think its a pretty safe bet,your cummins programmer is not compatible with the duramax.(Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong)

it will work on a duramax we had it on a friends i was just trying to see if you could stack it with the edge

I did it a long time ago but I got a lot of timing rattle! Not the best stack and with efi its kinda obsolute to stack

should i just get efi

If you have the time to tinker with it! If you are getting bored with the edge power efi or ppe is definatly a step up. I went the efi route and would never go back to the old days of stacking, theres just a lot better programming out there.

If you already have both programmers, then go for it, BUT stacking isnt that common anymore. Use the bully dog mostly for power and just use the edge for the monitor (thats what I would do...) besides, if you have a stock tranny, just sell one or the other.

You could always sell both boxes and get something w/more power like EFI / or PPE for example.

i think im just going to sell both of them and get efi but first im going to have my trans built thanks guys for the help and info im new to the duramax world i have always had cummins but im loving the duramax you can have alot more fun with them

I used a ppe standard,stacked with the duramaximizer.I had very good luck with it ran it that way for 5years.Stepped up to efi a year ago,and haven't looked back.

I had my Edge stacked with my Diablo for a little while. I mostly used the Edge for the egts and boost. I limped my tranny a couple times and decided to sell the Edge and get gauges.
