I have an 04 lly that my truck is leaking tranny fluid from the bell housing, looks to be comming from the conveter seal, has anyone had any problems with this, someone told me that its probally leaking due to my trans fluid probally got around 200 degress when towing,???
? this seems kinda strange, 200 degrees shouldnt hurt it should it? what should me temp run, i just dont want to pull my tranny and reseal it and have it leak again in a week after i hook it up to a trailer any help whould be greatly appreciated

200F is not a problem. Type of trans fluid can be, don't run DEXRON6.
Also very dusty off-road type conditions can be a factor, particularly if the tin cover is missing in the converter housing.


Be sure to get the new type seal P/N 29546682. It has an upgraded type of Viton and also a dust lip.
