What you seek is easily found here (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53309), in the FAQ's. Look under "C" for "CDR." But to quickly answer your question, no. Some say it doesn't effect anything, but many have had it cause oil leaks, and knowing that and reading the thread in the FAQ's leads me to the decision to not do it.
