The time has finally come to buy my first diesel truck, so here I am. I'm looking at a 2005 crew cab that has 50k miles on it. The dealer is asking $31k for it. Its loaded an nearly spotless. I'm buying it because my Jeep project has finally gotten to the point that I'm going to be turning the tags in and towing it. Right now I've got dana 60 axles, 40" LTBs on 17" allied beadlocks, and a twin sticked & clocked dana300 transfer case. For now the 4.0L is staying and I'm looking for a torque flight 727 to stick in it. Springs will be over the axle but I'm either using stock or 1.5" springs to keep a low center of gravity. The fenders & tub will be chopped to make room for the tires, like most crawlers. I also have a 2007 KTM SuperDuke990.

Anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone. If anyone has any input on the 05' 2500 (things to look for before buying, or to keep an eye on) please give me a heads up. I am aware of the injector shim kit, but that's about it. I plan on keeping the truck mostly stock, as most of my money ends up in the Jeep. I would like to do a remote start/turbo timer, and add new style led marker lights on the cab, and towing mirrors.

I agree, I had no intention on paying asking price ;) Its been on the lot for 2 months since I first found it, so I'm hoping a strong down payment will get them down to around $27,500.
