do you have Bose premium sound. I think there is a little tag on there that says to connect it to the pink/white wire before the harnessBut don't take my word for it because I can't get a signal out of it and I wonder if it is my remote turn-on....

run the remote turn on wire to a hot ignition switch, not all trucks use the pink wire for remote power, with classII data thers a lot going on ,you dont want to tap int one of them and burn up your BCM, your safe with a ignition sorce it does the same thing it just turns on the aux. sub amp, nothing more nothing less. There seems to be a lot of confusion about this subject in general , seiradmax check your gain controlls on the pac unit and amp, (that is if your getting 12vlts. to it ,check that with a multi meter) then make sure you use the rear RCA outputs for your sub. this unit works and is very simple to use and hook up ,I personally have done several hook ups with it, of all the ways to run a sub it is the easiest and cleanest with out a distorted amplified signal, like a line out converter taped into rear {Bose amplified signal} you get a 2to 1 gain perfect for driving a sub amp

checked the remote turn on at the amp and its getting 12.3 volts and still no signal. Here'swhat I'm trying to run. (2) kicker square 8" subs off of (1) rockford fosgate 300s amplifier.

150x2 @ 2 OHM, 300X1 bridged (amplifier)
I cna run the subs in series or parralel to get a 2 ohm or a 4 ohm load.

I did however forget to connect both sets of terminals on the ends of the sub... I wonder if this is the problem

run them in paralell,to get the most power from your amp ,CHECK ALL CONECTIONS BEFORE ASSUMING YOU HVE A PROBLEM!!!!

CAP, so would I have to splice into the pink factory wire (either soldering or a quick connect). I thought the PAC's where plug and play, no splicing?

If I just run my remote from an ignition source (I was thinking of putting a fuse tap in the fuse box), is there any need to run it to the blue/white wire on the PAC or can I just run it straight to my amp?

it is plug an play, but you have to have power for your amp,(seperate from the system) run the blue wire from the pac to a hot ignition source, not the pink wire ,not all trucks have a pink power on wire or some of the pink wires are data wires, you don't want to tap into a data wire if you can help it. the power on wire (blue) is just that a power on wire nothing els, you just need a 12v to run the (sub) amp

Ok, so PAC's intention was for you to somehow splice into the factory wiring for the blue wire, right? No plug and play with it...

So, regarding my other question, is there really any need to run the ignition wire through the PAC, or can I just run it straight to the amp?

When Introducing A Seperate Amp To The Stock System, You Need To Get A Way To Have A Output For The Amp, The Pac Unit Is Just That, A Jumper With An Amp Output In Between (with Adjustable Gains) ,as I Stated Earlier Not All Trucks Are Equiped With The Same Wiring Configureation, You Have To Find A Remote Turn On Lead For The Amp No Matter What System You Run Or However You Hook It Up The Amp Needs A Power On Lead , Simple As That!! The Amps Power Is Seperat From The Head Units . So It Is A Plug Ad Play Unit , You Just Have To Hook Up Your Own Seperate Amp , However You May Want To Look For A Pre Wired Amp And Sub Combo Along With Santa Clause And The Easter Bunny As You Will Find They Dont Exist!!! You Have To Hook Up Your Own Amp And Find Power For It. The Pac Unit Just Makes It Convienant By Having A Remote On Wire,

Do what?

I was just simply stating that, in regards to the blue wire, it was not "plug and play" because some splicing was involved.

My other question was asking whether the blue wire was simply a pass-though wire in the PAC, which it is, according to other sources.

Not sure where or why you went into that big explaination. I understand what a remote wire is and understand how to wire amps and subs and that kinda stuff....I was just asking about the PAC......not sure how the easter bunny and santa claus got brought into this..... :(

so where can we find a good 12v ignition turn on for the amp turn on?

I used the Ignition wire under the stering coulum (brown on 04 or the 10gage pink wire) THE BROWN WIRE IS ONLY HOT IN FULL RUN POSITION , AND THE PINK WIRE IS HOT AT TURN OF THE KEY, I LIKED THE BROWN OPTION , BECAUSE I CAN LISTEN TO MY TUNES WHEN WORKING ON THE TRUCK, AND NOT HAVE THE SEPERATE AMP DRAW FROM THE BATT. IM SURE YOU CAN ALSO FIND A 12VLT. SOURCE IN THE FUSE PANEL, I THINK THE AUX. POWER FUSE IS HOT ON TURN ON, AND SHOULD WORK FINE WITH A FUSE TAP, i WAS ALREADY UNDER THE DASH AND FIGURED I WOULD KEEP THE WIRING AS SHORT AS POSIBLE.
