pull in 4 low and 3rd gear with tow/haul on. Don't worry about shifting let the truck do all the work. also lower your torsion bars. I would defineitly put some weight in it, probally up in the front of the box. I don't know what weight class you are running, but I would get as close as max weight as possible. I'm pretty sure your going to drive the truck to the pull, and then back home, so I wouldn't go nuts on lowering your air pressure, maybe 15 front and 10 rear. Have fun and good luck.

you might of stood on it too early, or you might want to try to run a set of traction bars or clamping your springs together. you can do a search on clamping the springs. A lot of the guys here are running the caltracs traction bars, you can also do a search for them.

stood on it to early ? really is that possible . it seemed as if nothing was behind me and i know i was flying down the track . i guess i could have had too much wheel speed , huh?

i had the springs clamped, will caltracs do the same as clamping? or what about socaldiesels bars?

If you break traction too early you will not get your momentum up. You couldn't of been bouncing too bad, if you were flying down the track? How was the track? was it really ruff, maybe thats where the bouncing was coming from. The traction bars will keep your axle from twisting, the clamps will do the same, but mostly keep the rear end more solid. I thought the caltracs and the socaldiesels bars were the same, I don't know? How did you place anyway? How many trucks?

5 trucks , all dodges and me . i was 5th but i know i could have done better . 3 of the trucks were hauled in and clearly not sreet trucks driven everyday . i was very happy for only having some chips , they had everything under the sun on there trucks .

i know when i drag raced my truck with these wheels and tires up in the air it did bad . with the stockers and lowered down it did 100% better . but i an worried about using the stock wheels and tires for pulling to damn small on skinny .
