Since I lifted the truck it's difficult for my wife and kids to get in/out (ok ok me too). I have steps but they don't help enough.

I am considering the amp research steps. Could someone who has them measure the distance from the bottom of the door opening to the step with the step extended.

Thanks,
Mike

I have them installed on my truck, work nice and the Wife and kids love them for getting in and out. Unfortunately my truck and I are seperated by about 533 miles :( . Not sure what I miss more, the Family or the truck? Anyway, I believe it is about 8 inches and makes for a real comfortale step.

They are definantly the way to go. One of my friends has the kodiak Sidewinders and another one just put on the amp step. The amp hides alot better, looks great when its down, gives you alot more room to step on, and can support just as much weight. Seems like its about 8"-12" down from the door. You wont regret them one bit...

Great Steps!!! (http://www.electricstep.com/eshop/pc/viewCat_P.asp?idCategory=3) only $40 shipping too...

Mike,

Activated: 20" from the ground to top of AMP step & 13" from top of AMP step to top of door sill plate. Doesnt take away from the look of the lift, quite, durable and the wife & kids love em ;))))
