I am tweaking on my tow tune and trying to get exhaust temps down a little at 1800 - 2000 rpms under heavy load. How much boost is too much at those rpms and what else besides adding boost would cool me down a little? My timing is probably 2 degrees advanced from stock right now. My post injection is off. My EGT will keep climbing past 1250 to 1300 and I don't know how much more it would go. I really don't want to hurt anything. What is too much on the EGT's for towing ?

I believe the golden number is right around 1300... but I may stand corrected.

More boost isn't always better you can raise the timing a bit and then back it off after it starts to rattle. After raising your timing a bit you need to change the ECT timing multiplier or it will rattle when its cold. Having post injection off may hurt not help. 1300* sustained is around the max, but at shorter burst you can go a lot more.

You may just have to drop a gear and get the RPMs up some.
