Anyone know where I can buy a male H16/5202 bulb connector? This would look like the bulb side of the connection, not the connector on the trucks harness.

Thanks!

Really? No one has ANY input on this? With all the people running HID's, no one has thought about this? Sticking two metal pins into the factory socket is not acceptable, there HAS to be a male connector for the stock harness available SOMEWHERE!

Do any other bulbs use the same connection?

Alrighty! Well ive come to the conclusion that NO one makes these connectors and to me that is a problem. So tomarrow I am going to contact a local injection molding company and see what it would take to make them as I feel there really is a market for these as these 5202 lights are becoming a very popular and common bulb in the GM world. I also feel that like me, alot of people dont really like just sticking raw unprotected pins into there factory harness and depending on electrical tape to keep shit out instead of having a nice weatherpack connector. Im figuring I can machine the mold for them as long as i can get that local shop to agree to run them for a reasonable price.

If this interests any of you, let me know. Ive gotten pretty good response back from the 5th gen camaro and G8 guys already.

I agree with you, you need to have a connector to keep the crud out. How did you make out getting these connectors built? I would be interested in a couple

Im a avid member of that board. The kits they are selling are just like everyone elses, they do not have a male weatherpack connection, just pins that plug in to the factory harness.

Havent produced any yet on my end, still working with the molding shop.

Let me know if you get some made. I would definitely want a couple. I bought an H11 kit on E-bay and it had the same type of bare metal pins to push into the factory harness that is just a disaster waiting to happen. I found a wire set yesterday that has the weatherpack connector for the H11 bulb. Let me know if you need the link.

The H11 male weatherpack connector is readily available. I got mine of Ebay for $3.00, perfect fit and comes with rubber grommets and pins (pins that came installed on the HID kits are the same though so they just click into the plug). Super fast shipping to!

I wish I would have looked for connectors only, I bought a whole harness for $20 shipped. It's coming from China Should be here in 2 weeks! I think I might just order the Ends anyway for 3 bucks to get them sooner. I'm running 55w on the lows and 35w on the highs. I heard some concerns about wires melting with the 55w ballasts. What are you guys running and do you have relay kits installed? I have checked the wires and they seem to be running cool not even getting warm. But it is winter up here in Canada so the temperatures are freezing. Any thoughts?

If you need the harness from ballast to truck plug:

If you need weatherpack ends only they are here:

As for the 5202 ends, I haven't found anything yet.:

My ballast have the normal end on them, my 06 Dmax was plug and play with these ballast I have now, so I guess my question now is: is the 9005 plug, the H11, and the H16 Bulb plugs all different? I just need someone to tell me what i need, those two links above look like the stuff I need, but I'm not for sure?

If you have the ballasts and just bought new bulb then you could buy the complete harness from ballast to truck for the H11. This should plug into the H11 connector from the truck on one end and into the ballast on the other. If you still have the old harness for the other bulb from your 06, probably a 9006, you might be able to buy the weatherpack end only and try and change it on the old harness from the 9006 bulb. There is a plastic tab that you need pull back to release the wire/pins in the connector. Easier to buy the harness, but takes 2-3 weeks to get from China, wetherpack ends a couple of days if you are in the US. You may be able to find locally but for how much, I don't know. Your old ballasts and harness should be the same from your 9005 bulb in your 06 to your new truck. You could call Trips Custom Sales at 336-697-7001, they might be able help out. I know if you buy bulbs from them, they come with the truck to ballast harness, 9005 is plug and play, the h11 has the bare metal ends that need the weatherpack end or you can push the metal pins into the truck plug and tape them up. This is why I found this thread.

I bought a new kit, sold the ballast and everything with my 06, I just need to know which connectors on the pickup are different than my 06...all the connectors from the pickup to the ballast on the 06 were the same, So I need an adapter for the fogs I know, the one on Ebay that you linked to, wont work for the fogs anyway...

if you bought new kits, they should have the proper wiring harnesses for each bulb type, each bulb has a unique connector so that they can't be cross connected. 06 had 9006 low beam 9005 high beam not sure of fog lamp. 07-10 have H11 low beam and 9005 high beam, 5202 fog. the H11 kit might not have the weatherpack end, some do some don't. Mine did not. hence the links above. 9005 kit should be plug and play. 5202 kit has bare wire ends for truck plug side. Here is a great site to tell you what bulbs a vehicle has.

The ballast I got with the new kit don't have the same plug as my pickup has....the bulbs fit, I just can't get power to them because all my ballast have the 9005 plug!

If all you have is a ballast and bulb, then you will need the harness on E-bay from china. It has an h11 end that connects to the pick up and the other connector attaches to the ballast. If your ballasts have 9005 ends then you should be able to plug straight in from the truck as before. In my kits the ballasts have a plug similar to a 9005 but the pin spacing is different therefore I need a harness for the truck to ballast connection as well. I would check with the guys that sold you the kits, they should have come with the proper wiring for plug and play operation. If not post a pick of what you have and I'll see if I can figure it out.

are the low and high beam plugs the same on my pickup? I havent got a chance to look at them....all I know is the Fog light connector is different than what's on my ballast, and I need an adaptor for the fogs

Did anyone find a 5202 male connector for the fogs? I have looked around, but found nothing. Any luck on having them made?

I never did find these. I ended up just pushing the pins in and packing with grease then triple shrink wrap!

Thank You.

You would think, that all these guys selling these kits would do it correctly.
