A friend a work has a 7.3 Ford and for the last couple weeks it will stumble for an instant once in a while when it's wet out. Today it died at an interesection, restarted fine, no check engine light. Suggestions?

Probably a bad CPS sensor. They are cheaper at the International Dealerships.

Yes, bad cam position sensor. Easy way to tell is if it does stall again and wont restart, while cranking it check the tachometer, if it stays at zero and doesnt move at all its a bad CPS. You can get them for about $160 at ford, $100 through international, or $85 from www.powerstrokeshop.com (http://www.powerstrokeshop.com)

I also have a new one from my old truck Ill sell for $70 plus shipping if he is interested. Tell your friend if he decides to buy one local it is a good idea to buy a spare to keep in the glove box. These things can go out at any time and usually without warning. He should keep a ratchet, 3" extension, 10mm socket and flat blade screw driver in the truck at all times. Its a real easy change. If you need help or directions send me a message and Ill tell you what to do. Its located near the harmonic balancer on the passenger side below the water pump.

Thanks guys, going to pass this along. I wasn't sure if it was on the harmonic balance wheel or the flywheel. I may be back for directions if he can't figure it out.
