I have an 03 DM that has 22k and the other day it would not start. It is at the dealer now (3rd day) having the injectors replaced. Has anyone had this procedure done and if so what have your results been like. Is there any chance that they might acutally be able to fix it right the first time? Do I now have to worry about the possibility of this happening again? Any positive feedback would be appreciated!

Same thing here...My '03 is in the shop for the second time in a week. They are telling me that they have to replace the injector pump...? Although my truck is out of warranty already, (38,000 miles..figures!) They are still fixing it under warranty..My father-in-law's buddy works at a shop and he says that GM knows about this problem and that not all of the pumps fail. But when they do, they replace them with a newly designed one....We will see, I should get it back today..

Have you gotten your back yet? How does it run? Or start I should say? Mine used to start instantly, then it started taking a little longer to start. It required more cranking time, then one day it just cranked and cranked and would not start.

Well, I'd be real interested to know if you had the same symptoms and if the injector replacement did the trick...I was getting the feeling the dealership didn't know what was wrong with it...

Thanks!

I had to get all 8 injectors and the pump replaced because of my engine problems

low mileage
Low power
blue smoke
diesel in crankcase

You are still under warranty until 7 years 100k miles on your motor. If you didn't know, this must be a real pleasant surprise.;)

I've never heard of a bad injector causing a no-start condition. When mine went I still had instant starts and good power, just diesel in the crankcase, black smoke and low oil pressure.:confuzeld

I too had hard then no starts that were the result of injector failure. Never had any diesel in the crankcase though.

got it back a couple days later and it starts like a champ. If you were to search the forums you will see all my frustration.
