Its about time to do something with the steering. After 120K miles and boosted 4wd launches, I figure its only a matter of time b4 something goes. My question is are the HD tie rods (like from fab-tech or cognito) good? If not I will probably just geet sleeves, but I figured I would be better getting the whole thing and replace the old joints.

I vote for sleeves, you should have done a poll for this.

I'd do the sleeves if the tie rods are still in good shape.

What benefit do the sleeves provide to the every day driver?

Keeps you from bending tierods, like from hitting a big pothole or ruts off the side of the road.
Meant more for drag racing, pulling & offroading. Alittle added insurance from getting stuck on the side of the road.

Would the HD Tie rods Work just as good 4 boosetd launches tho? Im just thinkin back on my old truck the tie-rod joints went to crap after about two months of having a lift on it. The sleeves would do nothing for that. I believe the cognito rods have Heim Joints. Any thoughts????

You said your sock have held up so far for 120K, so if you don't add any more power I see no reason to not just go with the sleeves.

Fix or patch. I just put on a set of Bullet Proof tie rods. Expensive, well built and tough. This is a fix. I'm running 37's with a 6" lift on a Dmax/Alli. It does serious off-road. Damaged three tie rods in less than 24K miles. Stock crap won't take the stress.
