I noticed tonight the needle on my Autometer sport comp II pyro gauge is stuck. The lighting works but the needle won't move. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and still nothing. When turning the power on the needle used drop to zero and then move to the temp but no longer moves at all. Anybody have a similar problem? Anything I can check?
Thanks,
Brian

Could be a bad thermocouple, mine went bad on me a few years ago.

Sounds like it's bad. Call Autometer and see if they will warranty it.

Is the thermocouple bad or is the gauge bad? I will probably be making a phone call this afternoon.

I was doing some electrical work on my truck yesterday and when I finished I started the truck and the EGT gauge did not move as it usually does when the key is turned to run.

And the needle did not start to climb after I started the truck.

I found that I had pulled loose the connector for "12 volts with ignition on" at the MBEC (down by your left foot when seated in the truck).

I reconnected that wire and the gauge strated working again.

My gauge has two electrical leads: one to light the gauge, the other to supply 12Vs with the ignition on.
