What's up everyone,
Yesturday I went and picked up my new 05' 2500HD Silverado 4WD Crew Cab, Long Bed, Duramax/Allison, Silver/Birch and I could not be more pleased.
Here is some info for those of you who are looking into taking advantage of this offer.
The MSRP on the truck we got was $45,763 before Tax/License/Doc.
The sales manager was a really cool guy who we talked to for quite a while and he showed us their complete pricing print out on this truck, which showed MSRP, then showed Invoice, then showed Employee Discount Price. The employee discount price on this truck was $35,700, with the discount being to $38,700 and then the $3000 National rebate which was part of the total discount. I had a few of the LT options missing (heated seats, passenger power seats, ect...), which is why the price was $35,700 instead of $37,700 for the full LT package with this truck.
You pay taxes depending on your location, but you end up paying taxes on the $38,700 price, because you still have to pay taxes on a rebate. Although that was only like an extra 100-200 houndred dollars so in the scheme of things it didn't mean anything.
All in all, we knocked off about $10,000 off the MSRP, and with these kind of trucks, you will never see them go below invoice which was over $41,000 on this one in particular.
So for those of you doubting the deal, rest easy, but make sure to print off the employee discount price off the chevrolet/gmc website on the particular truck you are looking at, just in case you get a dishonest dealer.
I bought mine down in southern california and could not be happier with the dealership we went to. So if anyone needs a good southern california chevy contact, just shoot over a private message.
