Does your tranny seem to try to relearn for no reason? Every other month it seems like for a day or two it shifts weird and then goes back to normal. I think maybe its done it the last two times i drove a long way (over 1000 miles on highway), would that have something to do with it?

The transmission computer is constantly adjusting over time to compensate for clutch wear and driving conditions. If you drive it one way for a while and then change styles (i.e go from a lot of highway to the city) some adjustments may be neccasary. If it's not banging or flaring during a shift I wouldn't worry about it.
