Which battery do you take off of to power amps? Also, since the Duramax comes with side post batteries, how are you hooking up 4 guage wire to it?

Use the red battery box, just next to driver side battery. Also there are GM posts you can buy at an aftermarket shop to replace the stock ones. Hope it helps

You wouldn't just go straight to the battery??

use a round eye to go over the bolt in the red bat.box you will have to make a notch for the 4 guage to fit into, then fuse the line at least 12to 16 inches from it.

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to doing the passanger side battery? It seems easier to work with.

Did you enter the cab through the firewall? Where did you place your amps and where did you route your wires? Also, did you run two 4 guage wires (positive and negative) or did you just do a chasis ground?

Thanks for the help.

the only thing with the passeneger side bat is the firewall. If you are going to drill it is tuff to find and opening because there are alot of electronics as well as the blower there. The best spot is where the clutch would be in an auto, there is an indent and its clear on both sides. 4 gauge and smaller could work through the gromet on the driver side though.

I ran from the pasenger side battery to the gromet that feeds the door panel.. put a hole in that gromet and remove the plastic kick panel. From there just remove the plastice floorboard panels back to the backseats.

hope that helps

The PAC adapter has a blue wire that you run to the remote turn on for your amp.
