Ahhh sorry...its not possible. For starters, the double-DIN size nav unit would not fit (1995-2002 vehicles used 1.5 DIN size radios). Second of all, the nav units (and any radio from 2003 and up) require the BCM to be able to communicate with them via the Class II data bus. The Class II data bus did not exist until the 2003 model year, when it was implemented throughout the vehicle's electrical system. 1995-2002 used Class II for a few things such as main BCM-PCM/EDU communication, but thats about it. 1995-2002 use a mish-mosh of data busses for different things. Class II for main things like door locks, keyless entry, etc. E&C (Entertainment & Comfort) data bus was used for the climate control and radio communication. Finally, UART was used for the SRS airbag system and the OnStar system. It was kinda a mess until 2003 when EVERYTHING went Class II. Basically, the nav unit wont even turn on with Class II data present and without communication from the BCM. It needs to read the VIN for Theftlock info (to make sure the radio isnt stolen and trying to be used in another vehicle) and it uses Class II to turn on and operate/communicate with the Bose amplifier. Your best bet is an aftermarket nav system. Sorry thats probably not the answer you were looking for...
