There are 2 concerns I have with the install, the first is where the Pitman/idler arm connects to the centerlink. After installing the cognito heim joint with the special shank nut there are only about 3/8" of the threads from the Idler/pitman arms contacting the shank nut. When measured from the open end of the shank nut it is about 2/3 the way down the inside. I am not comfortable with so few threads contacting the threads on the shank nut. The second issue is the steering seems to be stiffer than it should be, I would expect a somewhat tighter feel but I think this goes too far. It should not have such a heavy feel. My truck is a 05 GMC SD2500 extended cab Duramax. Let me know what you think.

When I did my install recently I noticed the same amount of thread depth however if you where to use the stock nut you would not gain anything because the threads are going into the flange nut about the same thickness as an original nut except for being able to use the cotter pin (hence the red loctite on the flange nuts) with the loctite red properly installed I doubt you will ever have them come loose. When you tighten the nuts on the heim joint make sure bracket is snugged up and line everything up then run both nuts up to the bracket dont just run the back nut all the way up. I liked the tighter feel of the support kit but had to remove them because they did not work with my procomp lift.
