I just purchased last week a new 2005 chevy 2500 4x4 crew cab duramax diesel. Traded in my gas guzzling 6.0 liter. This is my first diesel to own. Someone had told me that after driving for a while that before I turn it off I need to let it sit and idle for a minute to let the turbo wind down. Not sure if this is true. I'll take any good advise on anything that I need to do to the duramax.

Normal driving shouldn't require cool down. Racing or towing: Let the truck idle a couple of minutes.
