I have been noticeing a drone in the engine floorboard area for the last few miles. It had pretty much quit until today when i pulled out and really opened her up (i had not done that in a while:))and now it is really loud. It is at exactly 16-1700 rpms and is deff engine related because it does it no matter what gear your in.Just wanting to get some ideas of what to look for before having to go to the dealer

If it's reproducable just get it in to them. Ask to take a tech for a test drive to show them. Could be a loose downpipe clamp or something touching exhaust so it resonates into frame.

Mine seems to do that on certain regens. Feels like the floor around the engine area drones and vibrates sometimes up to 20 minutes. Annoying.

Yea i am going to take it in. I was just outside looking underneath trying to see if the eqhaust was loose or anything and i alsofound i have a leak at the rear seal so off to the dealer. I really thought i was done with the dealer as i now have about 32000 I guess not.

Mine has done that since new at 1600- 1700 rpms. Narrowed it done to the airbox chaffing on the fender. It kinda settles in after awhile and goes away and returns when it wants. Mine has kinda come back a little cause a friend was with me the other day and asked if I had the 4wd on when we were going down the highway. Im so used to it and nobody has a fix I really dont notice it so much any more. Everybody says it driveline related but its not. It more a worn out motor mount noise or feel than anything. I guess I just got used to it by now. Im just happy it starts and gets me from point a to point b when I need it too.
