Im looking to buy ones of these and the 2 i am considering are Hitachi and Bosch. I have no experience with either brands so input would be appreciated.
The Hitachi impact driver is $159.99 and has 930 in/lbs of impact driving torque, No-load speed of up to 2,300 RPM and a 3,000 BPM impact rate for faster impact driving, and is 1.8 lbs. Their warreny is: 10 Year Warranty on Drill, 2 Year Warranty on Batteries and 1 Year Warranty on Charger

Now for $119.99 the Bosch offers 800 in.-lbs of max torque, Delivers 1,800 RPM/3,000 BPM, Spring-Loaded Impact Mechanism - Reduces user fatigue, and is 2.2 lb. Their warrenty is: Unconditional 1 Year, 30 Day Money Back, 1 Year Service Protection

Other that that both have 2 Lithium Ion batteries, a case, and charger. The Hitachi costs $30 more, has 130 in/lbs of torque more, and what appears to be a much better warrenty. Just wondering what i should buy and who has experience with these drills or similar ones

I had the bosch 10.8 but it failed after very little use, replaced it with a makita 10.8 and have been much happier.

Actually the new Bosch ones are 12 volt. I have had a 10.8 Bosch for 4 yrs. I used it daily when I worked in a small engine shop. Always worked very well and has about a 35 min. charger. The new 12 volt batteries will work in the 10.8 units too.

what are you using it for? I have a 18v dewalt and it will take all 4 wheels off your truck and put them back on with a fresh battery. I take mine with me when i tow the camper. just wish it would jack up th truck.

I have the Hitachi 10.8v and I use it every day for the past year and it has worked flawlessly. I have a dewalt 18 volt that I use VERY little anymore, the Hitachi is great if you use it over head as it is lightweight and packs a punch. Only problem I had at first is snapping heads off screws and bolts

it all depends on what you plan on using it for? I wasn't even aware hitachi made little stuff like this, but if they have the better warranty, more power, and only a $40 price difference? seems like a no brainer to me. but on the flip side, I have heard very few complaints about Bosch's commercial/industrial tools. not sure on their light duty stuff.

Hitachi makes some bad ass stuff, and is a very well kept secret when it comes to cordless. Panasonic too.

The 10.8/12V micro stuff is cool for drywall screws and self drillers, as well as working on motorcycles and quads with alot of 8, 10, 12 mm fasteners, but not really ballsy enough for work on the trucks, except for hose clamps etc. Won't even do lugs on the quads. I have one of these for minor mechanical work and use around the house: http://www.milwaukeetool.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=2450-22

This is what I use for the truck and most other stuff, and it rocks: http://www.milwaukeetool.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=2651-22 The only thing it won't do is break loose lugs on the truck.

If you have a screw type jack scissor jack or bottle jack, make an adapter for the driver to turn the crank and it will jack up your truck
